Counselling and Therapy
Sometimes we need to reach out to find support for our mental health and wellbeing.
In Islam, we are advised to find ways to overcome our internal habits that keep us in a state of unease and disconnected from our true selves.
Trauma can create difficult symptoms including depression, anxiety, anger, self harm and fear. Through therapy these things can be healed so that you are free to live your life in happiness and peace inshAllah.
We also offer counselling for children, including those with autism and ADHD. Please contact us for an informal chat about how we can help, inshAllah.
Know Your Emotions
Low Cost Therapeutic Courses for Muslim Kids and Teens
Six-week courses for children and young people to understand themselves, befriend and effectively manage their emotions with an Islamic-centered approach.

Starting 12th May 2025
Children aged 7-12 - Mondays at 5pm
Teens aged 13-18 - Wednesdays at 5pm
The sessions start by getting to know the child though various art-based activities, where they also assess themselves how they are feeling or what struggles they may be having with their emotions. We then focus on different parts of self, such as an angry part, an embarrassed part, a sad part etc and get to know these parts and try to help each part feel better by understanding and listening to them, using art as a way of expression. We also learn some regulation techniques and how to make better choices when strong emotions come up.
We also explore how turning to Allah and using our faith can provide the essential support for going through life's ups and downs and look at some of the challenges that the Prophet (pbuh) endured and his Sahabi.
Only £68 for the entire course. Some concessions available.

Included is a wonderful workbook for Muslim kids and teens, which is used during the course sessions. To see a preview of the book, visit: www.halimapublishing.com

In addition to talking therapy, I am fond of using art and creativity as it is a powerful medium for healing.
I also work with children and young people and am fully insured and DBS checked.
