Ideal for those seeking a space to getaway, reflection, digital nomads and life changes.

Rest and Reset in rural Spain

Located near the Muslim community of Òrgiva, 50 minutes from Granada and 10 minutes from the spa town of Lanjaròn, enjoy the peacefulness and healing quality at Casa Halima. These short stays, up to one month, allow quiet living, personal space and gentle community with other Muslim sisters.

From only €160 per week, plus a €60 food contribution, it is an affordable way to have a break in a safe and nurturing, sisters-only Muslim environment.

What is included in the price?

Cost is for accommodation only. There is an additional €60 food contribution charge per week. Transport is not included.

What do I do for food and meals?

Part of the community living is that you will be asked to make a dinner for everyone in turns. Depending on numbers, this could be once or twice a week or more. Breakfast and lunch are prepared independently in your own time. Ingredients will be available at the property, including halal meat. There are also a number of shopping trips to town to buy extra items.

How much cleaning is there?

Sisters are asked to tidy up after themselves and to take turns cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and sweeping the floors.

How do I get there?

Book a flight to Malaga or Granada, and a taxi can be arranged to take you and other sisters to Cortijo Halima. Stays are from Sunday to Sunday each week. You can also hire your own car. (Please note that there is off-road driving, so confident drivers only.)

How do I get to town?

There are at least three trips to town every week, including to Juma and sisters Islamic activities and events in Orgiva. You can also arrange for a taxi to take you anywhere you wish to go. You can also walk to town which takes about 30-40mins.

How many people will be there?

There would be a maximum of five sisters.

The space is run by Yasmin, an experienced counsellor and therapist who works remotely. Yasmin reverted to Islam over 25 years ago and has held many retreats and workshops for Muslim ladies and children.

We would love to hear any questions you may have about these stays.
